Emergency Vet Consent
This consent authorizes Walker WanderWoofs to seek emergency veterinary care when a pet needs immediate attention and the owner or emergency contact cannot be reached.
Veterinary selection and treatment
We first try the designated veterinarian and may use the nearest emergency clinic if necessary. Authorization covers emergency examination, diagnostics, stabilization, pain management, medication, and procedures needed to preserve life.
Financial responsibility
The pet owner is responsible for veterinary and transport expenses. We make reasonable efforts to contact the owner before non-emergency treatment over $500, while life-threatening care takes priority.
Emergency contact procedure
We assess the situation, provide appropriate first aid, call the owner and emergency contact, contact the designated veterinarian, and transport the pet when immediate care is needed.
Limits and confirmation
Owners may provide a treatment spending limit during booking. If none is supplied, Walker WanderWoofs may authorize stabilization while attempting contact. Booking with veterinarian and emergency-contact details confirms this authorization until revoked in writing.
