Our Story

Walker WanderWoofs was founded by Ian and Jadyn, a husband-and-wife team based in East Austin. Both are fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), making us one of the only fully deaf-accessible pet care providers in the city. We built this business because we genuinely love dogs — and because we believe every pet deserves outdoor adventures, not just a quick potty break.

Our trail-first philosophy means we take dogs to the places Austin is famous for: Barton Creek Greenbelt, Walnut Creek, Emma Long, and neighbourhood parks across East, South, and Central Austin. GPS tracking and real-time photo updates keep owners in the loop on every visit.

Deaf-Owned & ASL-Fluent

Being Deaf-owned isn't just a badge — it shapes how we communicate and care. All booking, service updates, and support happen through the app in writing, photos, and video. Meet & Greets can be conducted entirely in ASL if preferred. Deaf, hard-of-hearing, and hearing clients all receive the same seamless experience.

Our visual-first communication style transfers directly to dog handling. Dogs communicate with body language; so do we. The result is calmer, more attentive care — especially for anxious or reactive dogs.

We cover most of central and south Austin including ZIP codes 78701, 78702, 78704, 78741, 78745 and surrounding areas. Standard hours are Monday – Sunday, 7 am – 8 pm. Early-bird and late-night visits are available for members and by request. All bookings require at least 8 hours of lead time.
